VODACOM UNVEILS ‘SAVE AND WIN’ WITH M-PAWA PROMOTION

·          Over Tsh 300M to be won with one lucky customer winning Tsh 100M!!

Dar es Salaam, Monday August 31, 2016. Vodacom Tanzania in partnership with CBA bank has unveiled a mega promotion that will see M-PAWA customers win over Tsh 300M and one lucky M-Pawa user winning Tsh100m/- in the Grand Draw. The promo dubbed Jiongeze na M-Pawa will also see daily winners of Tsh 1m/- each, and weekly winners of Tsh 20m/- each and 200 customers having their savings accounts doubled on a daily basis..

The promotion which kicked off August 29 will run for six weeks through October when the draw for the grand prize will be held. During the promotion period, various teams of Vodacom ambassadors and officials will travel across Tanzania to educate customers on the benefits of saving and financial literacy in general especially those in rural areas.

To participate, all the customer needs to do is simply save any amount of money in their M-Pawa accounts during the promotion period. This will automatically give them points to enter the promotion and stand a chance to win daily and weekly cash prizes as well as the grand prize. The more one saves money into their M-Pawa accounts, the more chances they stand to win.

For instance, by saving between 1,000/- and 19,000/- one gets 20 points, while by saving between 20,000/- to 99,999/- one gains 40 points, and the list goes on – more savings… more points to win.

To save money into M-Pawa and stand a chance to win, customers can dial *150* 00# then go to M- Pawa, choose Save in M-Pawa, enter the amount followed by the M-Pesa  PIN.

Daily winners of 1m/- along with those who will get double of their savings will have their money deposited directly into their M-Pawa accounts, and will also receive an SMS to notify them. Weekly winners of 20m/- and the winner of the grand prize will collect their cash prizes from assigned Vodacom officials in their respective regions.

The M-Pawa promotion aims to encourage Tanzanians to develop a culture of saving  and benefit a great deal from affordable loans and interest earnings ranging from 2% to 5% depending on the savings amount. “The promotion is a reminder to Tanzanians that saving with M-Pawa is a wise choice especially for entrepreneurs since with M-Pawa, one can easily acquire affordable loans at very low fees” said Ian Ferrao, Vodacom Tanzania Managing Director.
